Novy1 Hello dear friends Mike, Steven Dan and Jara,

Please find enclosed pictures of my recent work on my common-collector SW Colpitts regen. These look nicer.

The only problems so far have been:

1. A worn-out 10k pot used for input signal attenuation. It quickly passed away. Grrr! Needed here a good quality pot.
2. The old 100pF variable being lossy at several rotation angles. Had to clean it well and lubricate. Even so, fully meshed and fully unmeshed positions show increased losses.

Please notice two series-connected 7.5uH chokes between the antenna lead-in and the receiver. These effectively supress FM and TV signals from coming in, as well as an annoying strong power-grid like interference. The receiver is at its sweetest point now.

A great add-on has been the S-meter paralleled with the hi-efficiency blue LED that Dan and Mike kindly sent me some time ago. The big knob is Steven's and the planetary vernier drive is Dave Schmarder's.
