Hi,
Thanks for the schematic of the modified circuit! It looks great -- I will
really have to try this. I think this would make a really great pocket
receiver with short ferrite loop. It should be really low power and yet
have sufficient gain to work well.
My friend Wes (W7ZOI) and I have been trying DX with our crystal sets using
outside wire antennas. So far we have each picked up a couple of stations
in each of San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Calgary AB. This has
been great fun. Wes built a headset with two Western Electric telephone
elements and replicated my receiver with 61-material toroid inductors. His
set really works well. He also added a Q-multiplier stage so that he could
hear stations in the non crystal set mode. I think your modification is
definitely worth doing on our sets.

Tak to mi psal Bob ohledně jeho krystalky s fetem ALD. Zajímavou možností, jak
nepoužít na zesílení aktivní prvek a přitom zvýšit citlivost je nápad jeho
kolegy použít k laděnému obvodu Q-násobič! To je správná zrůdnost, to nenapadlo
ani mne! Faktem je, že by to mělo jít a že by na to měl stačit obvod ve stylu

Osobně bych ale laděný obvod neblokoval odporem 10k, ale uvažoval bych, zda by
nestačilo na vazbu použít vazební vinutí s menším počtem závitů, případně i na
opačné straně cívky. Schema Bobova kolegy se pokusím sehnat. DX krystalka bude
síla...
